Nanci Langford

Nanci Langford, Ph.D. has retired from Athabasca University. Her research interests include women's migration and settlement experiences in Canada, both historical and contemporary; prairie farm women's organizations; women in politics, and international exchange programs for Canadian school teachers in the 1920s. She is the author of Politics, Pitchforks and Pickle Jars: 75 years of organized farm women in Alberta, Temeron Books, 1997; co-editor of Compelled to Act: Histories of Women's Activism in Western Canada, University of Manitoba Press, 2020; and numerous articles on Alberta women.
