Marie Tovell Walker

I was born in Vermilion, Alberta, and grew up on a farm north of town. After high school I moved to Edmonton which has been home ever since. I graduated from the U of A as a registered nurse and later completed a B.Sc.N. I enjoyed nursing and continued to work part time after having a family. I have been active in the United Church of Canada and completed a M.T.S. with a major in feminist spirituality. My interests are enjoying friends and family, genealogy, Alberta native plants, and feminism. It is important to me that women’s stories be told.
